The team at Linthwaite
Well it's certainly true that without our wonderful staff we would not have much of a hotel. It's been a season of change at Linthwaite, and we're delighted to welcome some new faces to the team:
Cumbrian born and bred Richard Kearsley is head chef of the brigade of eight. In the time away from his beloved Lake District, Richard has worked at some of the best restaurants in the UK including Mallory Court (1 Michelin Star), Seaham Hall (3 AA Rosettes) and The Waterside Inn (3 Michelin Stars); and most recently Lords of the Manor Country House Hotel (3 AA Rosettes, 4 red stars).
Many faces however, remain the same. Rachael who has been with us since 2001 is now reception manager, and behind the scenes, John our kitchen porter is still here after over 12 years, starting in 1998. Margaret is still flying around furiously cleaning everything in sight: she started with us in 2002, and Elaine not far behind in 2003, and of course Colin the gardener is still happy to give out gardening tips after 15 years at Linthwaite. Other long standing members of staff include Helen (personnel and admin) starting in 2005, and Kate our wedding coordinator who started with us in 2006.
