Lake District Restaurants - Our Wine List
Every year new wines replace old, and everything seems to taste better all the time. It gets confusing though. The Aussies are now in France producing their home style of wine, and in California many wineries are owned and run by the French... anyway, we continue to look for new wines, and we have eclectic range of almost one hundred wines from all over the world including many Chilean, New Zealand and Australian besides a good selection of classic Clarets and Burgundies - arranged by taste rather than by country. Our wine list is for drinking and many wines have been chosen to match the type of food we serve.

As a previous winner of cheeseboard of the year competition, we have an extensive cheese list including local Cumbrian cheese.
Our Chef Richard Kearsley has selected some of Cumbria's award-winning cheeses working closely with John Natlacen of Churchmouse Cheeses in Kirkby Lonsdale who have just won "Best Independent Cheese Shop of Great Britain"!
