What the Press say

"Perched on a hilltop overlooking Windermere, the beauty and tranquillity of Linthwaite House enveloped us totally. Inside, a log fire blazed and the view was so captivating it held us in its spell until darkness descended on this perfect hideaway... What a retreat and what comfort... Its all you dream of in a country hotel but rarely find... The food was as spectacular as the view, with dinner a highlight of the day." Sunderland Echo, Tuesday 27th November 2001.

What our Guests say

"We would like to thank the staff at the hotel for making this the most enjoyable experience we have had. The receptionist was extremeley helpful, the bar and restaurant staff were so polite and just an absolute pleasure. Even the gardner gave us some directions on where to go to get the best view of the grounds - these may seem like little things but it's the little things that really count to make somewhere different than the rest. Room/grounds/seating areas absolutely beautiful - cannot wait to visit again." MM, Liverpool, July 2011
