Linthwaite has designed a ‘Football Free’ mini break, which offers ladies guaranteed freedom from football from the 9th June onwards. Leaving sport obsessed partners behind girls can enjoy the beautiful setting of the hotel, overlooking Lake Windermere, and indulge in some serious pampering without a hint of football chatter.

Guests booking the short break will be afforded a hamper of goodies and zero-tolerance on all matters of football. The cast-iron promise even includes a ‘penalty’ clause – any guest who hears a member of the hotel’s team discussing the World Cup can show her red card and will receive an ‘on the spot’ glass of champagne!
