Lake District Hotels: Standard Bedrooms at Linthwaite House Hotel

Petite but perfectly formed, our standard rooms offer guests their own slice of Lake District luxury.

Each room has its own character with chunky wooden furniture, calming décor, beautiful bed linen and professional photography.  Our first floor hideaways provide an ideal break for individuals or couples who are seeking a peaceful haven from their working life.

Visitors can enjoy the uninterrupted natural surroundings of the hotel, with 14 acres of woodland and countryside to explore, along with its own tarn.  Several of our standard rooms overlook the hotel courtyard, while one has views across the trees and gardens alongside Linthwaite House.

On their arrival, guests can help themselves to tea, coffee mineral water, and biscuits which are provided.

Remember, all our guests have complimentary access to luxurious spa facilities (gym, steam room, sauna and pool) less than one mile away in the centre of Bowness. What the Press say

"With superb views across landscaped grounds to Lake Windermere and the Old Man of Coniston beyond, Michael Bevans' personally run hotel stands out among Windermere contenders for its high standards, from the always satisfying food to the spotless comfortable bedrooms. Service manages to be crisp and amiable at the same time; you are made to feel you are on holiday and not on parade." Sunday Telegraph Travel Section January 2007

What our Guests say

"Top reason for coming: Ross & Amy's marriage. Most liked: friendly, helpful, efficient staff. The environment is beautiful, despite the weather. The room is comfortable, well furnished, well decorated and meets all our needs. No traffic noise, peaceful, conductive to relaxation. So lovely to have our room tidied and bed turned down in the evening. Earl Grey teabag left this morning, how thoughtful." IL, France, April 2013
